Pay It Forward
The concept of "Pay it Forward" is simply doing something nice for a stranger and they, in turn, doing something nice for the next person they encounter who needs help or assistance, whatever it might be, to make a better world.
I believe "Pay It Forward" is a terrific way an independent Mary Kay consultant can help someone start a home-based business and, in turn, build a downline by offering to pay for a kit that someone cannot afford at the moment. That kit could possibly be the key to that woman becoming a millionaire. I know, because the 18-year-old consultant who signed me up (the first time) in the 1970's is now a National Sales Director who has earned nearly $4 million in commissions since becoming a consultant in 1976.
With the kit alone a new consultant can sell the over $300 worth of products, offer facials and beauty consultations to generate enough income to become qualified and then begin building a downline. New consultants have a year to become qualified, but I offer an easy way to generate the $200 below so they can quickly become qualified and thus begin building their own downline which is the key to becoming a National Sales Director.
An additional income stream is their own personal Mary Kay website which is only $25.00 the first year and $50 a year after. Qualification requires a $200 wholesale order be placed within two months of receiving the kit. Once a new consultant becomes qualified, the sky is the limit.
If perchance your consultant decides the business isn't for her, or is unable to continue with the business, the kit and all products can be returned to Mary Kay for a 90% refund. So, for offering to help someone get started in Mary Kay by paying $100 for their kit, all you have lost for your generosity is $10, and even that is tax deductible.

The following idea is a way the members of your downline can stay qualified and, in turn, build their own downline and eventually become a National Sales Director:
At the beginning of every quarter, in order to stay qualified, counsultants must order at least $400 ($200 wholesale cost to you) in retail products in order to get them for half price, plus retail tax. The more you order, the more free products Mary Kay will give you in return.
This is when you tell your friends, family, and customers that they can order anything they want at the wholesale price. To repay your generousity, they will come to you for new products, gifts and perhaps even give you referrals.

Everyone loves free samples and Mary Kay has oodles of wonderful samples of their exclusive and everyday products your consultants can order for around $1.25 for strips of six samples.
Samples make wonderful gifts to give away at baby and bridal showers, and other parites, and Realtors can place them in a basket at Open Houses - the possibilities are endless.
Teach your consultants to tell their family, friends and customers that they can buy samples from them AT COST.
This practice can result in not only more sales of full-sized products, but also generate more interest in joining their downline.
